Musical Mixtape
Welcome to Musical Mixtape!!
The idea for Musical Mixtape grew out of a love for broadway and a longing to put on a show this spring. This project began as a Broadway extravaganza, a concert event of broadway and movie musicals, to be organized and performed by the students of Sir Winston Churchill Secondary. Due to the unprecedented circumstances of COVID-19 and physical distancing, our concert was cancelled. However, the show must go on!!! We collectively decided to move our show online by recording each of the songs we were going to sing and putting them on this website. Though we were hoping this show would be live, this experience has gained far more significance for all of us. During quarantine we have learned the importance of sharing happiness with our loved ones in a time where fear and negativity are in abundance, and wanted to spread a little bit of joy through music with you. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy and we hope you enjoy the show!

The first song you will hear today is our group number, called You Will Be Found from the musical Dear Evan Hansen. This is a song that we believe embodies the struggle of isolation that so many people are feeling right now. Clips have been gathered from friends, family, coaches and teachers, to participate in the music video below. You are not alone in this, we will all get through it together!!

Navigating the Website
In the upper right hand corner you will see a tab that says artists. There you will find a short biography of each of the artists and the songs they have recorded for Musical Mixtape! Or if you are looking for a specific song or Musical, you can go to the Songs tab which has a layout of all the recordings and when you click one it will redirect you to the specific artist who recorded the song.
